Wizard Magazine online had a short chat with MAGNETO director, David Goyer about the upcoming X-Men spin-off film. The director mentions that they’re scouting locations and working on the budget.

“It’s the origins of the X-Men with Magneto and Charles Xavier. We’ve done some scouts and it mostly takes place in Europe and Argentina. We’re doing budgets and we’re sort of halfway crewed up, and that’ll be the big question: whether we can bring it in for a price. But that’s all I can say.”

Hopefully Fox does decide to name this [and the Wolverine] film ‘X-Men Origins’ (Example: X-Men Origins: Magneto). Seems like a perfect title, in our opinion!

Might Hugh Jackman’s X-Men spin-off WOLVERINE be filming in Australia? According to the Herald Sun, Jackman says “We are working very hard at that. I hope I’ll be able to make an announcement about that very soon.”

20th Century Fox houses studios in Sydney, so this could very much be a possibility. This would mark the first time an X-Men related film has filmed in Australia.

Would Ben Foster (X3’s Angel) be interested in returning for future ‘X-Men’ films? The actor told Superhero Hype, “I don’t know. I think it’s a very expensive movie to make now with all of the celebrities. If it’s a good script and the director knows what he’s doing, sure.”

Foster may already have an option for future X-films, as 20th Century Fox had signed many of the new X3 actors with multiple-picture deals (just in case). Seeing as how Angel had a small role in ‘The Last Stand’, it would definitely be cool to see more of the character on the big screen. Now…if 20th Century Fox would just make another team film.
