While there have been reports of Disturbia director, DJ Caruso being a possible candidate for X-Men spin-off film WOLVERINE, it seems that it’s not likely to happen. Caruso has just signed on to direct ‘Eagle Eye’ for Dreamworks Studios.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Caruso was courted by several studios for several high-profile projects [example: Fox for Wolverine], but decided to come back to Dreamworks, who distributed his last film.

‘Retroman’ has found some cool behind the scenes images from X-Men: The Last Stand! Spectral Motion, who created and designed the film versions of Beast, Colossus, and Juggernaut (among others) has posted many photos of their work on the film.

Photos include the painstakingly process of bringing Kelsey Grammer’s Beast to the big screen; Vinnie ‘Juggernaut’ Jones getting his prosthetic body attached (amazing work); Ben Foster getting molded for his Angel wings; and Daniel Cudmore in full Colossus mode! Check them out here!

Superhero Hype got the chance to talk with possible WOLVERINE director candidate, Len Wiseman on why he wants to direct the spin-off film starring Hugh Jackman.

“I think it would be a great story to tell, and in the case of that film, it wouldn’t be [as big] in terms of large-scale action, but it’s something I’m interested in, in his origin story and the character story with that.”

Wiseman says that he’s not sure if he’ll be chosen for the director duties. “There’s so many things that have been going on and I know that there are so many other directors. There’s nothing set in any fashion, but it has been talked about.”

My guess is that 20th Century Fox may wait to see how his June 27th film, Live Free or Die Hard, ranks amongst critics, fans, and the box office. Click the link above for more quotes!

We’ve been hearing a lot recently about Wolverine, and the film’s star recently mentioned when they might start filming the spin-off. Hugh Jackman told the Australian magazine, ‘Who’:

“Looks like we are going to film [Wolverine] at the end of the year.” says Jackman. “I’m very excited. We’re just about to lock in a director and the script we have is really fantastic. This is going to be a whole new direction for Wolverine and hopefully we are just going to blow people away.”

According to IESB, Len Wiseman and DJ Caruso are on the shortlist to possibly direct Hugh Jackman’s spin-off film, Wolverine.

Wiseman is best known for his ‘Underworld’ films, and has directed the upcoming ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ for 20th Century Fox. Caruso had a recent box office hit with his film, ‘Disturbia’.

Dania Ramirez, who played the villain Callisto in X-Men: The Last Stand has nabbed a job as a hero! The actress will play Maya in the next season of NBC’s popular television series, Heroes.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Maya is one of four to five new characters expected to be to added to the show next season, but her character might be the only regular one. Ramirez will play a new character, whose powers are being kept under wraps.
