Tom Rothman On Spin-Off’s
XMF contacted Tom Rothman yesterday, and the chairman for 20th Century Fox filmed entertainment took the time out of his Memorial Day holiday to e-mail us back! We were curious if Wolverine was still planned for the tentative 2008 release, or if Magneto (currently with director) might be released earlier than expected.
“It’s really soon to tell.” said Rothman. The most important thing is to get the movies right! If I had to guess, I’d say Wolvie in ‘08 and Mag in ‘09, but it could change.”
Rothman also noted that he thinks the fans will enjoy the sequel to Fantastic Four, as the Silver Surfer is really cool in the film.

Nice to hear this. Wolverine should be release in 2008. Magneto then in 2009 and X4 in 2010.

2008 is to quick for wolverine to be released…in my opinion…it would seemed like the movie was rushed and it won’t come out good (1yr)…once again this is all my opinion

I think that we shall lay low on X4 and focus on Wolverine arend later Magento because the story of Wolverine/Logan should be solved somehow and learn about Magneto? Well, I got some story on Eric from Xavier in X1 and that really fit the back story pretty well done. Now for X4,
i think I don’t know, what ever story comes up.

I agree that a rushed Wolverine movie would be as bad an idea as Elektra was– Xmen 3 suffered from that too. I would love Wolverine in his mask. It’s easy-say it was for protection against possible psis while he is on mission to penetrate some big operation.

Gotta have the mask! I don’t know if I would want a X4 after all the butchering they did in X3. Most people who aren’t x-men fans think juggernaut is a mutant. Well either way I hope bryan singer or someone who has really read x-men steps up to the plate cause X3 was so fake and cheap I almost thought it was a disney film… Imagine that Mickey mouse now an x-man with donald, goofy, and pluto!!!

well i wanna see an xmen 4 rather than wolverine.
xmen 4 can be made better.we can have our beloved professor,jean and scot by including bishop.you remember bishop the mutant from the future and who can travel through time.I would name xmen 4″A change in time”.Well it will be better if the story line is about sentinels.Imagine our xmen battle against a 1000 sentinels.Wouldn’t it be great.I even want to see numeron “the sentinel from the future”.

it’s ideas like a 1000 sentinels and cracks in time what made X3 a bad movie. (compared to the other two) I would love to see a snetinel fight in an X-men Movie but one or two will do. try to imagne how it will look on screen with every mutant. plus all the ones that didn’t belong in X3 fighting their own sentinel. Brian singe know not to stuff these movies. Right? Brett? Sorry Suresh on you comments but think about it. why did X2 work so well ? It wasn’t overstuffed.

Good day everyone. I’m an avid and an enthusiastic fan of x-men when I was in second year high school. I was 14 years old at that time. I’m already 27 years old now and a doctor in the making. It hasn’t changed.Im still an avid fan of the uncanny x-men.I am happy and contented that they produced three x-men movies. There are improvements everytime they make x-men movies. Better graphics, better story line, better plots. Though, It cannot be denied that the director and the producers weren’t loyal to the story at all. But it’s ok. X3 plot was good and the only thing that was missing was the mystic fiery bird. I was expecting for that but it didn’t show up. That’s fine anyway. What about X-4?? SURE!!!! That would be great. Im sure, it’ll be better than the last 3 movies. Why not invest on the rise of the apocalyspe?the sentinels? mr sinster? You can’t finish the story of x-men at that. 3 movies won’t suffice. Just a marketing advise, let the characters wear their orginal costumes (e.g wolverine with the mask, storm with the white outfit, cyclops with the blue suit, etc). I am PRETTY DAMN SURE, it’ll attract viewers!!!!! More viewers!!!! It’s up for the producers. Every movie is a challenge. GO THE UNCANNY X-MEN!!!

X4 has to be made and Gambit has to be in it.
They should continue with the story that has been set up in the first three movies.
The government finally stops trying to keep up pretenses and greenlights the setinel program after what happened with Jean Grey they fear mutants and their powers more than ever.
Mr. Sinister could be working for a secret government mutant testing facility. setinels would be introduced (in mass numbers)
I have a whole storyline in my mind for a great X4 film but I don’t want to write the whole thing out here (where it could be ripped off) suffice to say that I have ideas to bring in some new mutants as well as resurrect the dead characters without implementing anything to far-fetched that could put off non xmen/comic book fans.
I believe that X4 will be the most profitable of the entire franchise if only the studio would get a clue and make the damn movie.

Storm is amazing, but her true power hasn’t shown yet, why? Anyways a lot of people’s true powers haven’t really progressed in the movie yet. Phoenix force was an universal entity, not something in her mind that was eventually suppressed by Prof. X. Rogue needs to gain her abilities from Ms.Marvel. So many stories to fit in anyways. I think that the directors should look at the comics or X-men animated series because they are altering the stories of the X men. PLUS Orroro Munroe has blue eyes, not brown. Did Halle berry not want blue contacts in her eyes or something? I have so much more to say but due to laziness I wont say much, thanks bye!!!!!
