Superhero Hype recently caught up with WOLVERINE film star, Hugh Jackman and the actor says the script has been finished:
“We’ve now signed off on the script. If you know about the history of X-MEN movies that’s a revolution for us. We’re a year away from shooting the film and we have the script. And by the way, it’s unbelievable.” says Jackman.
The script, written by David Benioff (Troy) will focus on the orgins of Logan, and how he became the adamantium-clawed Wolverine! Shooting is tentative to begin next year, for a 2008 release. Click on the link above to read more!
XMenFilms.net will switch over to WOLVERINE-mode in anticipation for the film, January 2007!

Actor, Channing Tatum (Step Up, She’s The Man) recalls when he auditioned for the role of Gambit in X-Men: The Last Stand to Envy Man Magazine. As we all know, the character was ultimately cut out because according to producers, the role wasn’t kick butt enough for such a popular character.
“I got a call from Lauren [Shuler Donner] and she asked me to come to audtion for X-Men 3. You can’t imagine how excited I was about that. I went up to Canada twice to read for the role she wanted me for [Gambit].” said Tatum.
I would have gotten it, but that character was cut from the script and didn’t end up part of X-Men 3. She remembered me though, and called and asked if I would be interested in costarring in another of her movies. That’s how I got the role in She’s The Man.”
Well, if there’s another film in need of a Gambit, maybe Shuler Donner will go back to Mr. Tatum? Check out his IMDB profile here. (Fan Art: Angelo Rodriguez)

We’ve been on a short vacation, so we’re a little behind on this news! X-Men: The Last Stand is doing fantastic in DVD sales, and breaking records!
Via The Hollywood Reporter:
” X-Men is outperforming our projections,” Fox senior vp marketing communications Steve Feldstein said. “We had high hopes, and it’s even outperforming those. This is a terrific start for the quarter. These two titles created a perfect demographic storm at retail.”
Industry sources put first-day sales of X-Men at 2.6 million units. Those figures include sales to rental dealers and account for about 30% of inventory, significantly higher than normal. X-Men is the biggest October DVD debut ever for October…[more]
Update: The story is true. Random DVD’s released today have 21 deleted scenes, while others only have 10. There’s no way of knowing up front which has which. If you got a DVD with only 10 deleted scenes, try getting a refund. Hopefully 20th Century Fox will release an official statement. This is not good!
Region 1 Visitors: As of press time XMF could not verify this news, but I guess fans will know if this turns out true tomorrow. There have been conflicting reports regarding this issue, so I’m partial to believing this. We received an anomynous e-mail in regards to a possible screw up on the X-Men: The Last Stand DVD:
I work at Fox and want to tell everyone about a BIG error. FOX by accident included 21 pieces of Value Added deleted scenes on the DVD on only some of the DVDS. These extra features were supposed to be held for the second special edition DVD release later next year. If your DVD only has 10 pieces of VAM you can return it for a refund.
If you don’t believe me, when you buy it compare your DVD with your friends.
On October 3rd, Target stores will offer fans an exclusive X-Men 3 Deluxe Edition DVD package, which includes:
…all in an exclusive collectible tin for $22.99.
