Weapon X: Biographical Information On Known Mutants
Henry 'Hank' McCoy was one of Professor Xavier's first students. His parents had rejected him because of his mutant uniqueness. After spending some time learning under Xavier, he decided he wanted to further his education, and went on to receive his doctorate in biophysics.

He became a genetics research scientist, and later became one of few mutant voices to speak out about the mutant phenomenon when he began working within the United States government.

Henry has blue skin and fur, and has superhuman strength, endurance, great agility, and speed.

Even with his own acceptance ofhis appearance, Beast continues to struggle for the acceptance of others. As a man of arts and letters and the sciences, Beast is very much the Renaissance man, and while his human peers within the government know this, some of them still consider him very much a mutant.

Beast focuses on the X-Men's goal of building better relationships between man and mutant, and was recently appointed an ambassador for both human and mutants alike in the United States.

In immersing himself in this campaign, Beast holds out hope that in the world he and the other X-Men dream of, he'll finally be known for more than genius within than for the creature outside.
